Bell Group teams up with L&Q to bring employment opportunities

Bell Group are collaborating with L&Q and their other leading contractors to provide apprenticeships as well as other training and employment skills for young people, through a new Employment and Skills Plan.

The Employment and Skills Plan (ESP) is part of L&Q's £120m Planned Maintenance Programme which will see the refurbishment of its 70,000 homes stock across London and the South East. The ESP sets out targets for the number of of employment and training places that need to be offered by its contractors over the contract period and is a vital part of L&Q's dedicated neighbourhood investment strategy.

"Recent youth unemployment figures show that too many young people in London and the South East are still not in work or education and many of those are living within the communities we work in. The L&Q Foundation has made it one of its key principles to help our young residents back into employment or education which will ultimately create benefits not only for the idividual but also for their families and the wider community."
