Ben Lomond Charity Climb

The climb was done by ten of us in a bid to raise some monies for two charities. One of the guys on the climb has a son who suffers from cerebral palsy and is given respite care from an organisation called Bobath Scotland. The other charity was the meningitis trust. This trust gave wonderful and never ending support to my brother and family when he lost his son to meningitis in 2007.

The climb was originally a challenge by a young apprentice to one of the elder statesman who is an experienced climber. I was asked to organise this and did so with the added incentive of raising some money in the process.

I had hoped we would raise about £500 in total but with some keen sponsorship work by all involved we ended up raising just under £2000. Fun day with the charities benefiting to the tune of £1000 each.
