Bell Group & Barnardos announce national Charity Partnership

We are delighted to introduce Barnardo’s, one of the UK’s leading children’s charities, as our first national charity partner.

Barnardo’s was established in 1866 by Dr Thomas Barnardo and has gone through many changes in the last 150 years. The charity initially provided homes for destitute children living on the streets and although nowadays the charity no longer runs children’s homes they continue to support the most disadvantaged, vulnerable and neglected children in the UK. Barnardo’s have come a long way since then, and now run a network of over 960 services in communities across the UK, including counselling for children who have been abused, fostering and adoption services, vocational training and disability inclusion groups.

We launched our partnership on 15th April 2016 with a "Wear it Green Day" asking Bell Group staff to show their support by wearing either purple or green item of clothing. The day was a great success and marked the start of our fundraising!

Rebecca Mitchell, Corporate Relationship Executive at Barnardo’s

“Thank you for supporting Barnardo’s. Everyone at Barnardo’s is hugely excited by the fantastic opportunity you are giving us and we are fully committed to providing you with all the support you need to make this a great partnership. Your support will enable Barnardo’s to continue and grow its innovative and cutting-edge work, helping thousands of vulnerable children every year.

In these times of economic uncertainty, we depend increasingly on the support of commercial businesses who are prepared to get involved in our work; businesses that care about the communities in which they operate, and those who are prepared to take action to give disadvantaged children the chances they deserve. In other words, businesses like Bell Group.

Together, we can change the lives of thousands of vulnerable children forever.”
