Helping this leading energy & service provider deliver lifecycle maintenance to schools across North Lanarkshire

Value: £400,000 (per annum)
Client: Engie

The project

Lifecycle maintenance to PFI schools, 14 primary schools and 3 academies. The works required consisted of internal painting work to classrooms, corridors, stairwells, floor painting, fencing, high level painter work to street area, assembly hall, gym halls, games halls and exterior entrance. Flooring carpets and vinyl in classrooms and corridors ground works and civils are also delivered on this contract.

To minimise the impact on the schools the work was programmed out with the summer programme on back shift and night shift. The school leisure facilities were still operating throughout, our Contract Manager liaised with the schools and programmed work on a daily basis, to maximise the revenue stream for the schools.

Added Value

We have supported various careers events within a number of North Lanarkshire Schools, at both primary and high Schools levels. During these events we aimed to provide the young people with a greater understanding of the opportunities that exist within our organisation, highlighting that in terms of job opportunities they range from our team of operatives on site to accounts, administration, sales, surveyors and more.  We encourage young people to join us for work experience to help give them a taste of each of the above roles to help them establish whether or not that is the right career choice for them.
