“What I enjoy most about my apprenticeship is the opportunities that are coming with the job. I travel from place to place, and I’m doing something I enjoy whilst being paid for it. I also enjoy working with other people with experience and I’m learning from them continuously.”

“I'd advise anyone to take advantage of the opportunity, support and future prospects that Bell Group have to offer.”

As an organisation, we are committed to recruiting and training apprentices to encourage and develop skills within our industry. We have successfully operated Apprenticeship schemes throughout the UK for over 30 years.

We are passionate about encouraging students into the industry and maintain a strong commitment to Community Investment and maximising work experience and apprenticeship opportunities.

To this end, we take a prominent role alongside our associate trade bodies and federations to promote apprenticeships in schools and colleges and work with a number of key partners including our clients to support young people into the industry. We currently have 129 apprentices training in a variety of construction trades, as well as a number of office based business administration apprentices- this constitutes around 10% of our workforce.

All our apprentices are working towards industry training standards including SVQ/NVQ L2 & L3 qualification frameworks and apprentice development is enhanced through the provision of additional in company training and support. This includes the provision of core skills, working at height standards, mandatory H&S training and industry specific training and accreditation including CSCS.

More recently we have partnered with a number of colleges to create ‘Bell Group Academies’ with the aim of not only supporting our own apprentices on programme, but also providing additional support to wider students and teaching staff through the delivery of industry based masterclasses and the practical application of functional skills. This approach is being further developed, and it is our aspiration to replicate with apprentice providers across the UK.
