Dulux Trade; Most Trusted Contractor Painter

We are delighted that our site supervisor Jimmy Lindsay has been chosen as the winner of the Dulux Trade Most Trusted Contractor Painter for Scotland.

The competition was set up in 2012 to recognise and celebrate the unsung heroes of the decorating contractor industry. Following last year’s success, Dulux Trade conducted another nationwide search to identify this year’s contenders .They were looking for that special individual ,who always goes the extra mile to earn their clients’ and colleagues’ trust.

Meet the Contractors Event, New Gorbals

To mark the start of our reactive maintenace contract with New Gorbals Housing Association, Bell Group and the youngsters of New Gorbals recently spent a fun-packed afternoon dressing up and taking park in a host of decoration themed activities.  The event allowed New Gorbals HA residents the opportunity to meet the contractors who will be responsible for delivering the high quality repair service.

Bell Group & Crown Paints bring a splash of colour to Gateshead Landmark

Bell Group UK were delighted to help Crown Paints with the transformation of an important piece of public art running close to the iconic River Tyne.

The Ribbon Railings are a well-known landmark in the North East, stretching along the Askew Road to Gateshead and Newcastle, and is seen by hundreds of motorists using the route everyday.  Stretching approximately one quarter of a mile, the railings were erected in 2002 under a collaboration between Gateshead Council’s landscape architects and Alan Dawson Associates.

East Midlands welcome a new Branch Manager

Bell Group would like to formally welcome our new Branch Manager for the East Midlands, Kevin Shutt.

Kevin built up a wealth of knowledge in the 30 years he spent working with one of our major competitors, his remit at Bell Group will be to take what is already a very successful branch in Newark and grow it whilst improving on what is already a very good service.

Kevin’s arrival will see our existing manager Graham Pringle move further south to take control of our East Anglia and North London project.

DIY SOS: The Big Build

Bell Group UK was delighted to be part of the DIY SOS: The Big Build. The project took place in Cumbria June 2013.

Our Carlisle branch was proud to donate a site team of six painters for the duration of the build.

Flatford Mill

As part of the recently renewed 5 year contract with Feild Studies Council to carry out external repairs and painting works to Study Centres across the UK, we are proud as part of this year’s programme, to have just completed Flatford Mill in Suffolk.

Bell Group help promote good health via creativity

Bell Group Aberdeen is delighted to support the plans of the Grampian Hospital Arts Trusts plans to build ‘The Space’; an area that they wish to build within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The Space will concentrate on assisting the patients, staff and visitors in overcoming ill-health through creative means.  Branch Manager, Roger McGarry, has pledged to carry out all the redecoration work needed on the project free of charge.

Mock Interview Day in Sheffield

Bell Group Stoke were approached by The Guinness Partnership and offered the opportunity to get involved in their community initiative, ‘Mock Interview Day’ at Sheffield Park Academy, Sheffield.  The event was designed to offer the pupils a chance to practice their interview skills in an environment similar to an actual interview and work on the etiquette that will be expected from a potential employer.

Bell Group Office Opens in Potters Bar

Our recently closed London Thames Valley Office based in Ealing has now been relocated and is back up and running in Potters Bar.

The relocation was a strategic move to take account of our long term partnerships and collaborative working agreements along with the geographic locations of our staff.
