When People First Independent Advocacy asked for help with the redecoration of their brand new Conference Centre in Carlisle, Bell Group were keen to offer their support to such a worthy and award winning organisation.

People First is a not-for-profit organisation that has been working with many of Cumbria’s most vulnerable citizens for over 27 years; helping them to lead great lives, understand their rights and choices and speak up for themselves.


Bell Group Letchworth, on 5th April with the support of client Clarion Housing, supplied and assembled garden furniture to the residents of Phillimore Court, Radlett.


A forces veteran has been given the opportunity to learn a new trade thanks to Karbon Homes’ Unlocking Social Value Project and sponsorship from Bell Group Newcastle. Aaron Taylor, 27, from East Stanley in County Durham has been working as a plasterer for growing landlord Karbon Homes.

We have been working alongside Karbon Homes in Derwentside and were delighted to help with their initiative to provide valuable work experience to residents by giving them the skills and experience to become employable and encourage them to find employment.


Wednesday 17th January 2018 saw the launch of our fourth Painting and Decorating Academy. Bell Group is working in partnership with City College Plymouth to expand the range of work experience and apprenticeship opportunities for their construction students.


On Thursday 14th December Riverside College, in partnership with Bell Group, launched the North West’s only Bell Decorating Academy which will provide a host of exciting opportunities for the college’s painting and decorating students. This is the third in a nationwide roll out of academies.

Taking place in the college’s £3.6 million Engineering and Construction Skills Centre, the painting and decorating department were presented with a plaque to mark the new partnership.


Volunteers from our Inverness branch gave up their time to transform a city school room at Merkinch Primary School in time for Christmas.

The Ocean Room was a little bit tired at Merkinch Primary School, which consists of a pupil roll of 350, and our local team stepped up and offered to help give the room a refresh.


On 5th December, Bell Group in partnership with Glasgow Clyde College, launched the Bell Decorating Academy which will focus on supplementing the painting and decorating skills taught in the college with hands-on experience.

The launch event took place at the College’s Anniesland campus, where the college was presented with a plaque to mark the partnership and Craig Bell, CEO of Bell Group, hosted a presentation and discussion with students.


As part of an international exchange, Bell Group recently hosted a student from Germany. Pia Bennemann from Ascheberg, Germany had been studying level 3 painting and decorating and was offered by her college the chance to come to the UK to learn new skills and gain valuable experience in another country.

Our team in the East Midlands have been working with Pia for the past few weeks and have been impressed with how keen she was to learn.
