"At Bell Group UK we’re proud to give a little back to those who need it the most – and there’s nothing that fills us with more pride than our charity work. We are committed to fundraising events every year and we won’t compromise our dedication to these causes."
Bell Group UK believes that every company should give something back – and this is never clearer than with our charity involvement.
Bell Group UK raises money for a variety of charities. Top of the list however, are MacMillan Cancer Research and the Anthony Nolan Trust – Bell Group UK raises money for both of these charities by participating in fundraising events every year. However, that’s not the end of our charity involvement – indeed in 2007 and 2008, a team led by our chairman George Bell ran the New York Marathon and managed to raise more than £22,000 for St. Andrew's Hospice. St Andrew's Hospice provides specialist palliative care services - the total care of patients who require complex symptom management and or end-of-lifecare - and is open to all, without distinction of race, gender, or creed. It is Lanarkshire's only Specialist Hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families, and carers.
Bell Group UK has continuously supported the Hospice throughout its 26 years existence. From full sponsorship of teams running the New York Marathon to sponsorship of the annual ball for several years, our directors, staff and operatives have all at one time been involved in fund raising efforts. In addition, the company has given much in-kind support by painting or re-furbishing wings and supplying labour and materials for general maintenance at the hospice itself and its many shops.
Our head office also raises money for Ronald MacDonald House – a charity based in Glasgow that looks after families with children in need of long-term hospital care.
In addition, Bell Group UK likes to assist our clients with their charity efforts. Branch employees have participated in events such as: sponsoring a walk to the Great Wall of China; mountaineering in the Rockies; fundraising taxi drivers’ trips for disabled children; and abseiling to support under-privileged children.
